We look up the active repeaters closest to the address you give us and load them into your radio with the correct frequencies, offsets and tones, along with NOAA weather, GMRS and MURS channels. The radio is ready to use when it arrives.
Can my radios talk to each other?
Yes. Every radio we sell can talk to every other one on the GMRS and MURS channels. Encrypted channels only work between radios in the same matched DMR set.
Why are the DMR radios only sold in sets?
Each DMR set is programmed with its own private encryption key, so the radios can only talk privately to each other. A single encrypted radio would have no one to talk to. If you only need one radio, the Baofeng UV-25 or K5 Plus is the better pick.
Can you program a radio I already own?
Yes. Send it in with our Custom Radio Programming Service, or order a Custom CHIRP Programming File and load it yourself. For a Baofeng DM-32UV, our Encrypted Radio Programming Service adds custom encryption.
